DLite User Guide

Introduction

Welcome to DLite, a powerful tiling manager for Discord, Telegram, and any HTTPS website. DLite allows you to create, organize, and save layouts of popup windows with automatic Discord sidebar hiding for a clean, focused workspace.

Installation

Installing DLite is quick and easy:

Chrome Web Store Installation

1. 1 Visit the Chrome Web Store
2. 2 Click the "Add to Chrome" button
3. 3 Confirm the installation when prompted
4. 4 Once installed, you'll see the DLite icon in your browser's extension toolbar

Permissions

DLite requests only the minimum permissions needed:

• Discord and Telegram permissions: We need specific permissions for Discord and Telegram (host_permissions) to modify their interfaces, hide sidebars, and create a truly distraction-free experience
• For other websites: We only use the activeTab permission, which gives temporary access to create popup windows of your current tab without permanent access to those sites
• Storage permission: Used only to store your bookmarks and tiling layouts locally on your device

We never collect or transmit your personal data. Your privacy and security are our top priorities.

Basic Usage (Free Version)

The free version of DLite allows you to open one popup window at a time and provides essential tiling functionality.

Creating a Tiled Window

1. 1 Navigate to any Discord channel, Telegram chat, or HTTPS website you want to open in a popup
2. 2 Click the DLite icon in your browser's extension toolbar
3. 3 Click the "Open" button in the popup menu
4. 4 A new popup window will open with the current page
5. 5 Position the window where you want it in your workspace

Discord Sidebar Hiding

When you open a Discord channel with DLite, the extension automatically:

• Hides the server list sidebar
• Removes the channel list sidebar
• Creates a clean, focused chat interface
• Adapts to Discord's UI updates automatically

Free Version Limitations

• Limited to one popup window at a time
• Cannot save window positions and sizes
• No bookmarking functionality

License Management

To activate DLite PRO, you need to purchase and activate a license key.

Purchasing a License

1. 1 Visit the DLite Pricing Page
2. 2 Select your preferred license option
3. 3 Complete the checkout process
4. 4 You'll receive your license key via email

Activating Your License

1. 1 Click the DLite icon in your browser's extension toolbar
2. 2 Click the "Activate License" button or gear icon
3. 3 Enter your license key in the field provided
4. 4 Click "Activate"
5. 5 Once activated, you'll have immediate access to all PRO features

Managing Your License

Your license is tied to your browser profile. If you need to use DLite PRO on multiple devices:

• Sign in to Chrome with the same account on all your devices
• The license will automatically sync across devices
• If you reach your device limit, you can deactivate unused devices from the license management section

Tiling Manager

The tiling manager is DLite PRO's core feature, allowing you to create a customized workspace with multiple organized windows. Layouts in DLite work with your bookmarks to save both the content and positioning of your windows.

Creating and Saving a Tiling Layout

1. 1 First, save the pages you want in your layout as bookmarks:
   • Navigate to a Discord channel, Telegram chat, or website
   • Click the DLite icon and select "Bookmark"
   • Enter a name for your bookmark and save it
   • Repeat for all pages you want in your layout
2. 2 Open the bookmarked pages as popup windows:
   • Click on each bookmark to open them as popup windows
   • Position and resize each window as desired in your workspace
3. 3 Once you have two or more windows arranged how you like, save the layout:
   • Click the DLite icon in your browser toolbar
   • Click the "Save Layout" button (disk icon)
   • A confirmation message will appear telling you how many windows were saved in the layout

Viewing Saved Layouts

1. 1 Click the DLite icon in your browser toolbar
2. 2 Click the Info button to see details about your saved layouts
3. 3 You can view which bookmarks have layout positions saved

Using a Saved Layout

1. 1 Click the DLite icon in your browser toolbar
2. 2 Go to the Bookmarks section
3. 3 Click the "Open All" button to open all bookmarks
4. 4 Your bookmarks will automatically open in their saved layout positions:
   • Bookmarks with saved layout information will open in their precise saved positions
   • Bookmarks without layout information will open in default positions

Updating a Layout

To update your tiling layout:

1. 1 Open your bookmarked windows
2. 2 Rearrange them to your new preferred positions
3. 3 Click the DLite icon and select "Save Layout" again
4. 4 Your new positions will overwrite the previous layout for these bookmarks

Bookmarks

Bookmarks allow you to save your favorite Discord channels, Telegram chats, and websites for quick access in your tiling layout.

Adding a Bookmark

1. 1 Navigate to the Discord channel, Telegram chat, or HTTPS website you want to bookmark
2. 2 Click the DLite icon in your browser toolbar
3. 3 Click the "Bookmark" button
4. 4 Enter a custom name for your bookmark (optional)
5. 5 Click "Save"

Using Bookmarks

1. 1 Click the DLite icon in your browser toolbar
2. 2 In the popup menu, you'll see your saved bookmarks
3. 3 Click on a bookmark to open it in a new popup window
4. 4 The window will open in its saved layout position if layout information exists

Opening Multiple Bookmarks

1. 1 Click the DLite icon in your browser toolbar
2. 2 In the Bookmarks section, click the "Open All" button
3. 3 All your bookmarks will open as popup windows
4. 4 Windows will automatically arrange according to your saved layout

Managing Bookmarks

1. 1 Click the DLite icon in your browser toolbar
2. 2 For each bookmark, you'll see options to:
   • Open the bookmark (by clicking on the bookmark name)
   • Edit the bookmark name (pencil icon)
   • Delete the bookmark (trash icon)

Bookmarks and Layouts

Bookmarks and layouts work together in DLite:

• When you save a layout while bookmarked pages are open as popup windows, the layout positions are associated with those bookmarks
• When you open a bookmark that has layout information, it will automatically open in its saved position
• When you use "Open All", each bookmark will open in its specific saved position from your layout
